About the tour

Zanzibar is the Island that produces plenty of nutmegs, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, lemongrass, saffron, and more, it is sometimes referred to as “Spice Islands”, which is a term borrowed from Indonesia's Maluku Islands. Please join me to explore a beautiful spice farm in Zanzibar

Meet Mufasa

Bahati is an excellent guide in Tanzania - he sends us to amazing places for the experiences of a lifetime - whether it be visiting a Massai Village in the bush, seeing amazing history in Zanzibar including hand carved doorways, beautiful scents and colors of the spice market on the ""Spice Island"", swimming with the dolphins and finishing with a local fresh caught fish and chips dinner... He is the master at finding wildlife in the Ngorogoro Crater and giving me the experience of driving the land rover through the Serengeti with the wildebeast and zebra crisscrossing the road in front of us.... he loves telling us about the birds we spot along the way and amuses with stories of the areas we are seeing. I'm looking forward to the experiences he will be adding to HeyGo/Virtual Tours!!!-- Karibu Tanzania.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Zanzibar with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Zanzibar. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

I love seeing the places but cannot deal with the guide and how he acts. He ignores the questions people ask and just carrys on. I continue to watch the tours with the sound off and never ask questions. Of all the tours I have ever watched on HEYGO he is the least likable. But thats only one opinion.

A very interesting and entertaining tour. It was a shame that poor signal conditions affected much of its delivery but nonetheless a great African experience and a credit to the team. I hope Mufasa is able to offer a repeat soon.

Mufasa is an experienced tour guide. He goes above and beyond. We Learnt alot about different spices, their use and medicinal properties. Saw familiar fruit and vegetables. Expansive area but all the helpers worked together. This tour was fun as well with bursts of singing from Mufasa and the local guides and helpers. Recommend Musafa and Tanzania and Zanzibar

Very difficult to rate a tour that you can only see and hear intermittently.
