About the tour

Guilin’s scenery is peerless in the world, and Yangshuo’s scenery is the best in Guilin. In the 1980s, the county became popular with foreign backpackers for its incredible views and natural beauty and continues to be a top resort destination for both domestic and foreign travelers. You will walk along the rippling Yulong River bank with your guide as she shares the history and stories behind the breath-taking natural scenery of this region. Another bonus is you will see traditional Bamboo Rafting activities up and down the river, farmers working their fields, and natural wildlife. The county is regarded as one of the most beautiful counties in China and the local scenery is the essence of Guilin. It is also the termination of a Li River cruise. Please follow our local expert to explore this wonderful area.

Thank you for taking us into this rural area and showing us the local scenery. When I was in grade school I drew a picture of the mountains you have there in Guilin. My teacher criticized my drawing and said there aren’t any mountains with pointed tops like that!!! Obviously she had never seen the Li River or Guilin. Thank you so much. Cheryl B

Today Yvonne brought us to the region where the river Li concludes its cruise. We saw some of the same limestone hills, which are green year round. Our relaxing tour led us to rice paddies (so much work!) and fields of a variety of vegetables. We were able to watch some locals tend to their gardens, and were met with smiles. A look inside China is such a privilege, in my view. Thanks to Jenny's Tours for sharing so many locations in China! Always recommend.
