Did you know that working class women of Saint Petersburg (Petrograd) ignited the Revolution of February, 1917? That revolt resulted in the abolition of the monarchy and later on - the collapse of the entire Russian Empire. Join my tour by the bank of the Moyka river and along some of the oldest streets of Saint Petersburg to learn more about the life of both, outstanding and ordinary women of the city. We’ll talk about the position of women in Russian society in different historical periods. There are some really great stories.
Anna is a a licensed tour guide in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The curious thing about this city is that it’s very young - a bit more than 300 years old. However, in only three centuries the city’s managed to become one of the most magnificent cities of the world. Anna's goal is to tell the world about the beauty of her city, its history, Russian culture, heritage and how it all has influenced our everyday life. Regardless of your age, interests, origin and political views, St.Pete should be on the bucket list of every globetrotter because it has everything to meet the needs of the most sophisticated travelers.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Saint Petersburg with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 50 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Saint Petersburg. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
