White Nights Special: Bridge opening Part II. Palace Bridge (from the other Neva bank) and Annunciation Bridge

Sat, 19 Jun
Annunciation Bridge, Palace Bridge , Saint Petersburg, Russia
60 mins

About the tour

I honestly don’t know which bank of the Neva River is more beautiful than the other, so I’ll show you both of them. This time, let’s watch the opening of the Palace Bridge from the Cape of the Vasilyevsky Island to admire the view of the bridge against the Winter palace. The Annunciation Bridge was the first permanent metal bridge in Saint Petersburg. It was constructed in 1850 and it was designed to open up from the very beginning. However, the construction was quite unusual. There are quite a bunch of stories to share. Get ready for the cherry on top! This time we’re going to see what’s hidden behind the Annunciation Bridge - I haven’t taken you there before!
