About the tour

The Bluebells are ready and waiting for us! These wonderful wild flowers only bloom for a short time and English Woodland Bluebells only bloom in a relatively small part of the world. Take the opportunity to see them in a beautiful natural setting on the east coast of Guernsey, they bloom near the coast so we will walk on to a view point to enjoy the view from the cliffs. We will pass an old military cemetery and the old walls of a fort built to defend us against the French. Limited to one or two walks this Spring before they fade away until next year.

Meet Gill

Born and bred in Guernsey, after a career in hospitality I became fascinated by our long and colourful history. Becoming a tour guide was a natural step and I enjoy showing locals and visitors around the island and the smaller Channel Islands near by on foot or in transport.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Guernsey with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Guernsey. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Have done a few trips with Gill, now and will be doing more. She is extremely knowledgable and always tries to answer our questions, if not during the actual tour, then at the end. She's also very bubbly and entertaining. I couldn't ask for a better guide to show me round her home island.
