About the tour

Welcome to the most mysterious and romantic village of the Cinque Terre National Park. Vernazza! One of the most ancient towns where we have testimonies from the Roman era! We will walk through the main and only street that goes across the village until the little mole. During the walk, while you admire the architecture and the decorations of the houses testimonies of the glorious past when the village was a particularly important port, I will tell you about the flood that destroyed the village in 2012 and the structural changes that it brought to the village. We will have a look at the church built on the water in a very unusual position, then we will walk into extremely small and narrow alleys to reach the hiking path that connects Vernazza to Monterosso, this path is the last part of the Green-blue hiking path that connect all the villages from Riomaggiore, the first one to Monterosso, the last one. We will walk through an incredibly old street where I will tell you the story of the houses of Vernazza so you can better understand why they are so vertical and why they have two different entries. We will reach the most beautiful viewpoint of the village where you can admire the port embraced by houses and dominated by the castle, while I will tell you some of the most ancient legends.

She was a great guide, informative and friendly!!! She must have been exhausted doing all that climbing up the steep narrow street. That shows how much she cares about her presentation!!!
