About the tour

Walk with me along the series of three lakes situated west of Banff and fed by the Bow River in the Canadian Rockies. The Vermilion Lakes offer spectacular views of Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain, a fantastic place for beautiful postcards of Banff National parks! The proximity of these lakes to town makes them a fantastic place to watch sunrise or sunset, see wildlife through my telescope and spend a relaxing time to learn about the hot-springs and Art in the Rockies. I look forward to showing you around!

Meet Pamela

Pamela has always loved the outdoors, and is fascinated by all aspects of the natural world. She worked at The University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and went on many field trips, which enhanced her knowledge of birds, animals, insects, frogs, geology, plants and trees. If not outdoors, her nose was always in a book, learning more about the world and it's fascinating places, animals and people. Since moving to Canada, Pamela immersed herself in this totally different environment. She loves to share this knowledge with other people to help them appreciate and understand what they see.

Enjoy your nature walks. Very informative. The smoke from the fires may have obscured the mountains but it made for some very interesting and beautiful postcards.
