For this second episode in "Valpo", we are staying in the historic centre, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once again, anecdotes, street art, breathtaking views, stairs and cable cars are on the menu! It is a city that first stretched out over the sea to then climb to the top of the hills. A city built by its inhabitants in an "organized chaos". Let Vincent guide you through this maze of narrow streets, endless staircases and an architecture as diverse as its people once were. Victorian, Italian and French architecture bloom the streets of Valparaíso, witness of its glorious past.
Known fondly as the "Jewel of the Pacific," Valparaíso is located on central Chile's west coast and is one of the country's most important ports. Colors dance like forgotten rainbows across the 42 cerros (hills) that face the bay and that give this UNESCO World Heritage Site its charm. During his tours, Vincent will guide you through this labyrinth. You'll be amazed by it's tiny street, it's colourful houses, funiculars and lots of views looking down to the Pacific Ocean. Upon obtaining his first degree in travel and tourism, a job opportunity arose in France as tour guide on the landing beaches in Normandy. And since 2015, as tour guide in Chile. Much to explore with the Atacama desert and Patagonia, but Vincent felt in love with Valparaíso and hopes you do too!
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Valparaiso with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Valparaiso. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
