About the tour

The Ceramist Mario Sarabia: his inspiration is the mountains that surround him. The clay emerges impetuously from the mountains and the rugged landscape of the Valley of the Moon; It must be accepted that ceramics are lovingly cradled in his skillful hands and in the alchemy and magic of his workshop. The Valley of the Moon is a labyrinth of canyons and giant spiers. The formations, composed mainly of clay and sandstone, were created by the persistent erosion of the mountains.

Really enjoyed this interesting tour of La Paz with Renan - the hike amongst the clay 'rocks' was fascinating. The visit with the local artist and seeing his work was beautiful.

This was part 2 to the see the Valley of the Moon. Very interesting and the trip to see the ceramics that were made from the sandstone from around the area was the icing on the cake. Thank you Renan
