About the tour

You probably have heard about the famous liqueur Unicum? Did you know that it is a Hungarian drink? Whether you have heard or not, now its time to find out more and dive deeper in the very rich and exciting story about it. Unicum certainly made history and I am very excited to take you around the whole House of Unicum ( Museum), where we”ll witness a very personal, intimate collection of photographs from the Zwack family ,a treasury of old posters and personal memorabilia, dating back over two hundred years which tell the story not only of Unicum and the Zwack family, but also the history of Hungary from the halcyon days of the Belle Époque, through two world wars, the fascist tyranny and the communist era to the present day. We”ll take a visit to the old distillery which is called the Heart of Unicum (where the secret is kept), where we learn about the diverse type of herbs and spices used in Unicum, about the production, maceration, blending, ageing and the innovation throughout the years, the new products. Join me and let’s toast together🙌
