The culture of the people in Sénégal is divided into various ethnic groups such as Peulh. Most of the Peulhs live in rural districts and much of their life is guided by activities around animal husbandry and breeding. Join us as we respectfully explore what daily life is like in a Peulh Shepard village in Sénégal.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Mbour with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Mbour. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.
Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

My third tour with Alioune! I just love how well he shares with us all where he lives and the way he communicates with everyone around him. So respectful. It was very interesting to be shown the Shepherd’s Village and have the villagers show us their homes. The signal was patchy at times, but that must be expected at times. I just cannot get over the fact that I get to sit here in my home on Vancouver Island and be transported around the world. Thank you VT and Guides.

Good tour but the connection was very patchy and missed lots of it.the tour leader is very respectful and the villagers were welcoming so it didn’t feel strange looking into their houses and day to day life.even though the girls were married off at 13,this must be seen in the context of their simple and ancient way of life.one day soon these young girls and boys will be able to enjoy further education
