All New! - Treasures of The Coffee Lands of Colombia This is not a tour only about coffee, but about the typical life and exuberant surroundings of several quintessential towns within the colorful coffee lands of Colombia. Join me on a completely new series of tours visiting these unique and beautiful towns, filled with colorful stories from the Andes Range of mountains. We will also explore the rivers, valleys, canyons, and natural biodiversity of the area, lush with tropical life. This completely new series will feature the towns of La Ceja, El Retiro, San Antonio, and El Carmen. Just a note about signal: despite Colombia's use of 4G in the main cities, out in the countryside we still use 3G, so there may occasionally be areas with low reception. This may or may not occur, and no matter what, we will have a great time! Since every tour is different, here is a sketch of what you will find each day, in order of experience: Thursday, July the 8th : La Ceja town - 1: Tequendamita Waterfall. 2: La Ceja town square and views of the city. 3: Turmequé / Tejo, Colombia's unique national game. Could you play it? Friday, July the 9th: El Retiro town - 1: El Retiro town square. El Retiro is the very first Colombian town that set slaves free from the labor of quartz mining. 2: Country Pub experience. Grab your beer and join me to wrap up your week and chill with a relaxing brew! Come experience the flavor of a Colombian country town on a Friday night. NOTE: Within these tours, I will ALSO be running ADDITIONAL adventures in the area! Please be sure and book those SEPARATELY, here: * Colombian Flowers - a Walk Around Curious Gardens and Crops - https://www.heygo.com/tours/colombian-flowers-a-walk-around-curious-gardens-and-crops * Latin American Food: Must-Try Dishes of Colombia - https://www.heygo.com/tours/latin-food-experiences-in-colombia * Colombian Horses - Fantastic Animals who Changed our History - https://www.heygo.com/tours/colombian-horses-fantastic-animals-who-changed-our-history * El Carmen de Viboral and The Ceramic Tradition of Colombia - https://www.heygo.com/tours/el-carmen-de-viboral-and-the-ceramic-tradition-of-colombia

Such a wonderful walk around El Retiro, with a look at its renowned woodworking shops and the beauty of its architecture ... and with Santi's telling of El Retiro being the first place in Colombia, perhaps in all the Americas, to set free the slaves, thanks to one woman's big heart a long time ago. This event is remembered to this day; it echoes through time to the people of today. Thank you, Santi, for this beautiful and informative tour.

A morning walk offers a break from the past that holds people captive for quartz mining, thanks to lady Javiera Londoño. Yet the people who abide here still show detailed and intricate craftsmanship in woodworking and architectural styles. If the door is open you are welcome in.
