The world’s most famous cycling race comes to us in Nouvelle Aquitaine. This year, the penultimate stage takes place between Libourne and Saint Emilion, winding its way through the beautiful countryside and famous wine chateaux. Come join us for an alternative Tour de France, the Avant Guides Bordeaux way! Soak up the fun, excitement and the atmosphere with those along the route. We will be in five different locations along the time trial route including Libourne where it starts and in Saint Emilion where it finishes. En route we will be at Chateau Siaurac, the lovely little village of Montagne and Chateau Beauregard. We will be visiting Chateau Siaurac which is not only a top rate wine producing chateau in the appellation of Lalande de Pomerol, Neac but also has been awarded the “Outstanding Gardens” label by the French Ministry of Culture. Chateau Beauregard is in the Pomerol wine appellation. We will be standing amongst the vines with views of Chateau Cheval Blanc as we watch riders negotiate a tight corner. AVB will be on the ground sharing Tour de France fun facts, local culture and picnicing à la française - du vin, du pain et du bon humeur. Something for everyone! We will be battling with the crowds. Apparently around 500,000 people are expected in the area! So we will be in good company, but who knows what is going to happen. Join us for this live event, which will be in two parts. The first part which starts at 12h00 CET will be focusing on the different events that are going on in Libourne and the famous Tour de France Caravan along the route in Néac, Montagne and Saint Emilion - soaking up the atmosphere. Hopefully we will battle our way to the start and watch the first riders start their race against the clock. This will last about 1hr 20 minutes The second part starts at 16h15 CET. We will be showing you around our gorgeous area, visiting the two wine chateaux and villages of Montagne and Saint Emilion and then finally, following the last riders (the best) as they complete their race against the clock. This part will last about 2 hours. This will be a first for Heygo! as we go from one location to another, so fingers crossed! Keep an eye out on our Facebook Page - follow us on Avant Guides Bordeaux.

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Saint-Émilion with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 240 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Saint-Émilion. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Tour guides were friendly and enthusiastic. It seemed strange that they toured a property where it appeared they did not have permission. I was also disappointed that they did not position themselves to have a good viewing location for the Tour and other people were in their way. They were also not very knowledgeable about the Tour itself ie who was riding and where they stood in the time trail.

I’ve been a fan of Le Tour for decades, and I really felt like I was there soaking up the atmosphere. So fun to see the pre-ride caravan from different points along the route and see a few riders enter the start gate. The guide team was very wise to choose a stage that would predictably have riders throughout the session. It would be cool to see the peloton go by, but way too hard to predict the timing, so kudos to selecting a great stage for this format to present. I only wish I hadn’t been traveling myself so I could have seen both sessions. It was indeed fun to watch the TV coverage I had recorded and recognize where I had “visited.” My only criticism, and it’s small, is that the tour was billed as a 90-minute block, but they stopped early, after a little more than an hour. I would have loved to see more riders starting their time trial, or maybe even some riders going by the other guide teams. I hope Heygo will do this again every year!
