About the tour

This tour will open up to the fascinating world of traditional crafts and herbal gardens. You will discover which herbs can be used to make soap and find out what delicious drink was once used to make ink. Not only will you hear about about these mixtures but we will put this knowledge to use crafting something as well. Prepare to meet a scribe, an archer and take a look under the hands of the master in a workshops for candles or for the production of handmade paper. We will also take a look at a tavern and you will even learn their recipe for Celtic pancakes made with buckwheat flour. Best of all, we will be walking through some of the most beautiful gardens imaginable. A monastic herbal garden, a garden maze and an oriental garden will all be discovered on this tour!

Wonderful walk around the workshops sharing soap, candle & paper making press/printing, how to use a bow & arrow. We saw animals too 😍 Rabbits, goats, sheep & geese even a pigeon Dovcote. The tavern selling lots of nice looking foods doughnuts yummy 😁 The gardens are divine, divided into different growing areas, apple trees & others edible fruit and veg, lots of info on various medicinal plants and what they can be used for, all laid out beautifully in raised planters. A very calm and quiet walk with a friendly warm guide would love to go round the rest of the garden we didn’t see. Well worth a tour 😍 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
