About the tour

Ostuni is known as the white city because an administrative ordinance which states that all houses in the historic center shall be white washed with limestone and no color shall be used. The region has been inhabited since the Stone Age. As many other towns in southern Puglia, it was established by the Messapii, the tribe that was able to defeat Hannibal during the Punic Wars. The Normans settled in the town after the Romans and they were responsible for building the medieval town around the summit of the hill, the city walls and the four gates. Today, Ostuni is one of the most visited places along with Alberobello for its unique look and feel. So join me to talk through the tiny little cobblestone streets and check out the scene.
