About the tour

The Village of Montmartre This tour offers an alternative itinerary of the tour Montmartre, Home of the Artists and will allow you to witness the diversity of the former village of Montmartre! In this tour, we will start down the hill of Montmartre with one of its most famous landmark, the legendary cabaret Moulin Rouge. Climbing the Lepic street, we will see the famous café des Deux Moulins where the movie Amélie was filmed and then see the best food stores of this street and those of la rue des Abbesses, including one of the best bakeries of Paris. We will then see the Wall of Love where two artists wrote 311 “I love you” in 250 languages and dialects on enameled lava tiles. One of the most visited place in Montmartre! Climbing the hill, we will reach the heart of the former village of Montmartre that we will explore seeing, for example, the famous restaurants la Bonne Franquette and the Consulat and pass by the Dali museum. The tour will end at Saint Pierre de Montmartre, one of Paris’ oldest church opened in 1147! A great tour to see why Montmartre is one the most popular part of Paris!

Meet Florent

It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.
