About the tour

The tour is designed around Cape Town’s oldest working harbor with its 22 official historical landmarks. The port still keeps its authentic industrial look, and the original historical value is still preserved with the lighthouse and the archaeological findings. The V&A Waterfront is the most visited destination in South Africa and offers a cosmopolitan mix of experiences ranging from cultural, shopping, food and drinks, and entertainment.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Cape Town with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Cape Town. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Antonio is an excellent tour guide. He takes the time to talk to his group and get to know them. Looking forward to another tour with him soon.

Interesting tour at Waterfront, though it was very windy and difficult for the guide. Interesting information, excellent communicator. Good job Antonio! Thanks a lot!

The wind was ferocious and the COVID restrictions made it tough on him, but he was very good and knowledgeable.

Fantastic tour! Provided us with a nice balance of history and current events. Beautiful scenery. Provided plenty of time for postcards, and provided some lovely surprises. My heart goes out to the people of South Africa who have been hit so hard with Covid and all of the economic impact.
