About the tour

The Temple of Heaven Park remains one of the most important examples of Chinese religious architecture with a larger size than Forbidden City. Built in 1420, emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasty made sacrifices to the gods in hopes of achieving a fruitful harvest. The temple grounds are home to many fine Ming Dynasty buildings, but the hallmark structure, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, is a visual knockout. You will also see many local activities in the park, such as dancing, singing, Taichi and other local interests. Join our guide as they share with you the history of this popular Beijing site, the culture of China and share personal stories.
