About the tour

This is a special occasion to homage and to learn from brave Argentine women who defied the military authorities and started , in the 70's, a still current action: Fighting for the memory. We also visit the most iconic balcony of BA, the one used by Evita... and Madonna. A few blocks from May Square , women have the most beautiful bridge dedicated to them and we will cross it, in Puerto Madero, a neighbourhood where all the streets have the names of... pioneer women. Meet FabianBA

FabianBA

Almost a decade ago, Fabian kickstarted his career as a tour guide after leaving a cushiony corporate role as an HR Manager. Since then, he has enjoyed spinning exciting stories to travelers and taking them through one of the most European cities of Latin America. Through his lens, you will discover the city that's home to the widest avenue, the widest river, and brimming with people who love football. Buenos Aires was a British colony for a little over a month, but it carries with it a hint of different cultures. "Argentineans are Italians who speak Spanish but they think they live in France!" Fabian laughs. Through his tours, you might hear him sing a tango (or humming to U2’s “With or Without You”), learn a couple of magic tricks (fun fact: he's an amateur magician!), and check out yerba mate, a super healthy herbal tea that's a local popularity. "Being a tour guide is a bit like a teacher, and I enjoy telling stories. Buenos Aires is full of stories, bizarre, strange, hard to believe stories," he says.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Buenos Aires with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Buenos Aires. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
