About the tour

Puglia is home to more than sixty million monumental Olive trees more than a thousand years old. Walking though the red clay country side outside of Ostuni and Monopoli, one can admire some of the most incredible gnarly trees still baring fruit. Each tree has a story, an identity, and shapes that can make you tear up. Until a few years ago, these trees have resisted all kinds of weather and diseases but sadly they are now under attack by a virus called Xilella Fastidiosa which is killing thousands of trees every year. While we hope to find a solution, I hope you will take a momento to join me in this extraordinary walk among true giants.
