Join Florent as he takes us on a journey through the historical center of luxury and power on Paris' Right Bank. The Right Bank refers to the central area of the city, north of the Seine, and can be contrasted to the Left Bank which lies to the south. Back in the day, Paris' Right Bank was known as an area for intellectuals and artists (Florent's Latin Quarter tour takes us there). On this virtual tour, we'll be starting at the Opera Garnier, uncontroversially one of the most beautiful buildings of the Haussmanian Paris. From there, Florent will weave through some impressive jewelry shops to take us to Place Vendôme where we will see some of the best museums in Paris, and if you're lucky, the column Napoleon built to commemorate the Battle of Austerlitz. We'll then marvel at the beauty of the Tuileries gardens, a UNESCO world heritage site, before stopping at Concord Square which marks the starting point of the Champs-Élysées. It also has the oldest monument in Paris - can you guess what it is? No cheating!
It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.
