Join Florent to explore the Jardin des Plantes, French for Garden of the Plants, France’s main botanical garden. Created in 1626, the garden’s original name was the Royal Garden of the Medicinal Plants. Covering a surface of more than 23 hectares, this garden is one of the Parisians’ best kept secrets. Off the beaten tracks, hundreds of trees, thousands of flowers as well as beautiful greenhouses can be seen in this charming part of the 5th district on the left bank of Paris. Home to the National Museum of Natural History and different other smaller museums (Mineralogy and Paleontology) it’s a place where Parisians love to stroll, discover new plants or visit the second oldest zoo in the world! This tour will take you in one of the oldest and most beautiful gardens of Paris!
It's an understatement to say Florent knows Paris. Born in this wonderful city, Florent says he confidently knows every nook and cranny. Having completed over 2000 tours, we believe him. He's a self-declared history, art, and archaeology fan. What he loves most is sharing the best parts (and secrets) of Paris with you! “In French, if you add two letters to Paris, it becomes Paradis (Paradise in English)” he laughs. And paradise, it truly is. Be it exploring Paris' gastronomical delights or catching an auction, walking along the River Seine (which Florent gallantly swam), exploring spots where Hemingway lived or its sprawling gardens, Florent takes you on an exciting tour through his favorite city. “I love sharing my discoveries, explaining the boisterous history of Paris and showing places that are very hard to find otherwise, and of course getting to know new people every day!” Florent says.

Florent introduced himself, he is always pleasant and friendly, the tour itself was very beautiful, taken at an easy walking pace I had a brilliant time, the best part for me was the roses he showed us, I grow them myself and have won prizes for them. Book a tour with Florent you won't be disappointed.

The tour was beautiful. Florent charming as ever. Loved his enthusiasm for the lovely gardens and especially for his favourite quiet places. Had no idea this was so near the centre of Paris.
