About the tour

Supplì, a quintessential Roman street food, traditionally made with leftover rice, breaded and deep fried, with a heart of melted mozzarella cheese. To not be confused with the Sicilian Arancini, the thinner and longer shaped Supplì al telefono ("telephone-style supplì") can be enjoyed as an appetiser, snack or even as a main dish. A must see, and "taste", recipe… seasoned with curious stories about Italy's cooking traditions and tricks only certified Italians can offer! For the process make sure to join the tour on time since each step will be explained live (not a cooking-along tour)! Preparation time: 30 minutes Cooking time: 30 minutes Cooling time: 2 hours in the fridge And if you wish to cook live with us equip yourself with: INGREDIENTS (for 10 Supplì) - 200 gr. of rice (1 US cup / better if superfine for risotto) - 150 gr. of tomato puree (3/4 US cup) - 80 gr. of minced meat (1 US cup) - 1/2 glass of wine - Salt - Black pepper - 1 mozzarella for pizza (fiordilatte) - Bread crumbs - Frying oil - Vegetable broth/hot water - 2 eggs
