Did you know that Nairobi is the only city that boasts a national park? You can be admiring galloping gazelles, and regal rhinos, with a backdrop of sparkling skyscrapers. This is entirely unique in the world, and Claire, your Nairobi Heygo guide invites you on an early morning game drive through the park to spot some animals and learn about how these majestic creatures live in the wild. We'll also learn about some of the rich history of the park, the threats to it, from the dawn of the 20th century to the present day, and how it is becoming a hotspot for Nairobi daytrippers keen to escape the hubbub of the city for a couple of hours. Escapism at its best! Disclaimer: the animals on this tour are (very, literally) wild, and we never know if they'll be camera shy, or if your guide might come across a lion and scream her lungs out. They say never work with animals or children, but hey, what's life if you don't take risks! So pack your binoculars, pour yourself a gin and tonic (it protects against malaria, don't you know), and keep your eyes peeled, and you might spot something before everyone else! (Note, this is a sister tour to the 'sundowner and safari' tour, in order to cater for different timezones, and also catch different moods, animals, and scenery).
Whilst Claire is half French and half English by heritage, she is fully Nairobian by choice, and has been in Kenya for long enough to feel right at home in the city. She has lived and worked in six countries, and has always found adventures wherever she's gone: exploring the artistic and off-limits catacombs in Paris, exploring Mexico's coastline in the back of a pick-up truck, chasing alligators in Tanzania, or sky running in Kenya. But what is the common theme behind everything she does? Talking, sharing, and learning something new, so join her on her Kenyan adventures.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Nairobi with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Nairobi. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

There were many types of animals but mostly they were so far away that we could hardly see them. I know its a "lucky dip" what we might see, and that's just how it is. But I love Claire's tour guiding and she has a lovely voice.

Claire was welcoming, knowledgeable and super keen for us to experience seeing animals in the wild. I will certainly do this tour again as it is hit and miss with what animals are encountered, but well worth it!

another fabulous tour with some wild animals and great chat. it may take a few mins to find some animals out in the wild but they always come through for us some may not be right next to the road but some actually cross the road next to us. check out one of Clair's tours for sure and come see what they find for you
