About the tour

Kampala is a district among the 135 districts of Uganda. Kampala the size of 73 square miles is the smallest district, with the biggest population and the capital city of the country. Kampala has lots of awesome areas in it's surburbs away from it's city centre. This will be a series of tours around it's commonly known favourite business centre surburbs, near city centre home residences, and while some have the best hangout places. Kamwokya and Bukoto centre areas are located about 6km from Kampala city centre are surburbs or located on the outskirts of Kampala. Kamwokya area is a busier business centre with a mixture of shops, supermarkets and street markets compared to Bukoto. The walk will start in Kamwokya which also houses one of the biggest ghettos in this country which have also been known as the humble beginnings of the now famous global musician and former presidential aspirant Honourable Bobi Wine a.k.a ghetto president and people's president. The walk trail will start with explorations off the Kamwokya main road into Kamwokya market (can you cope up with it's darkness?), shops, apartments, existing businesses and parts of the ghetto off the Bobi street then rounding to Kamwokya road off past Kanjokya street known for ICT development, Alliance Française and GIZ/ Germany cultural offices onto Kamwokya main road which hosts the British Council offices then move towards Bukoto. The Bukoto stretch walk will go past KFC, off Bukoto centre, St Andrews Church Bukoto, Kabira country club, BIPLOUS one of the biggest homeware center and conclude the journey in the awesome Lighting City shop- hope we get to see the colourful lights...
