About the tour

Something fishy going on? No place in Denmark lies more than 50 km from the coast and there’s 8,750 km (5,440 miles) of gorgeous coastline surrounding the 406 islands that make up the country. Phew, get ready for an adventurous ride with Heather! On her virtual tour, you'll go on a fresh jaunt around the center of Copenhagen. Starting at City Hall and making our way past the Tivoli Gardens amusement park, we will contemplate the importance of the sea, pickled herring, and the importance of shipping from the Viking times to the present day. It wouldn't be appropriate to mention the Vikings without also touching on the ancient art of brewing beer... Worryingly, Danes still commonly use the Viking phrase to raise a toast - “skål” (skull)!

All my family live in Denmark and I haven't been back for some time. Heather has a wonderful knack of me feeling back home, with her insightful, quirky and educated tours. I watch with my 9 year old daughter. She loves sending Heather a message and Hear her always replies. A wonderful interaction for her bringing her family's home to life.

Once again, Heather showed us the beauty of Copenhagen. I love strolling through the streets with her. She makes us (the voyagers) feel like we're old friends. See you on another tour soon, Heather! :)

Very entertaining tour round part of an amazing city. Just needed much slower panning to make it easier to watch. Will book for Copenhagen again.
