Celebrate the liberation with us by learning all about the most courageous heroes of WWII. From daring pilots, through convincing advocates, all the way to regular citizens that defended their country when it needed it the most. During this tour we will learn about the historical circumstances of Czechoslovakia and the Protectorate during the time of war. We will also pay tribute to all those who were not afraid to disagree, and work against the terrible machinery of the Third Reich. Join us on a visit to the sites that witnessed Prague Uprising first hand, and admire the beauty of Prague that survived.
If you’re looking for proof that a visit to Prague can change your life, ask Johanka. Almost a decade ago she came to Prague for a semester of studies, and… she just never left. After graduating in Czech Language and Literature, she dedicated her life to understanding and experiencing the Czech lifestyle with all the senses - starting with a career in a brewery. That being said - do not hesitate to ask her tough beer-related questions! Her love of Prague didn’t let her stop just there, and the passion for sharing knowledge soon took over: for the past few years Johanka has been walking the cobblestone-clad streets of Prague as a tour guide. Her romance with this beautiful city continues, as she claims to fall in love with Prague every day over and over again.
Johanka has been guiding since Mar 2018
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Prague with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Prague. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide’s hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.
