** Please be aware that South Melbourne Market is a Food Market and displays animal and fish products** Melbourne is without a doubt a must-visit culinary destination of Australia. We offer many foodie experiences to our visitors - our coffee culture, our fine dining, brunching in a cozy laneway restaurant or enjoying our diverse food markets. Most visitors know Queen Victoria Market, but there's another Food Market right on the edge of the Central Business District - South Melbourne Market, South Melbourne Market is a treasured inner city landmark, a quintessential village market, a place where people come not only to purchase fresh food, but to meet, eat, drink, shop, discover, share and connect. They buy books as well as food, wines and leathergoods, browse clothing from local designers, indulge in a therapeutic massage or relax over a Tarot reading. And they buy flowers. Lots of flowers! In the market we'll find authentic traders, quirky and playful characters delivering old fashioned customer service with a smile. They embrace and showcase the local. Come along and embrace it yourself.
Susanna is an avid reader of historical detective novels, a radio producer, civil celebrant, over-worked grandmother and, for fun, she reconstructs Ancient Roman recipes. For over 30 years she taught adults, particularly women, in the technical aspects of radio broadcasting and film production, or how to get out there and just do it. She's also been a social worker, a consulting psychologist, stage actor and barmaid. Susanna is a proud descendant of 19th century convicts, republicans and revolutionaries and still wants to be a time-traveller.
