Shanga is a social enterprise, which employs people with disabilities to create unique and high-quality handmade jewelry, glassware and homewares incorporating recycled materials. These products are sold in the Shanga shop in Tanzania, as well as around the world, with profits being reinvested back into developing opportunities to employ more people with disabilities.
Bahati is an excellent guide in Tanzania - he sends us to amazing places for the experiences of a lifetime - whether it be visiting a Massai Village in the bush, seeing amazing history in Zanzibar including hand carved doorways, beautiful scents and colors of the spice market on the ""Spice Island"", swimming with the dolphins and finishing with a local fresh caught fish and chips dinner... He is the master at finding wildlife in the Ngorogoro Crater and giving me the experience of driving the land rover through the Serengeti with the wildebeast and zebra crisscrossing the road in front of us.... he loves telling us about the birds we spot along the way and amuses with stories of the areas we are seeing. I'm looking forward to the experiences he will be adding to HeyGo/Virtual Tours!!!-- Karibu Tanzania.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Arusha with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Arusha. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Thought we were going to see the glass beads being made, but seeing the glasses being made was just as interesting. Wonderful that they teach disabled citizens a skill to help them be productive in such a creative field.

It was interesting to visit Shunga House but the tour probably could have been done in 30 minutes. Thank you.
