About the tour

The dance of the saya is the musical expression of the Afro-Bolivian people who arrived in Bolivia at the time of the conquest brought from Africa as slaves to work in the mines of Oruro and Potosi, it was the height of the harsh climatic conditions coupled with abuse that It did not allow the Africans to perform as expected, so they were taken to tropical areas of the country in climatic conditions more similar to their place of origin, so their descendants survive to this day in the Yungas region of La Paz. This dance, as it goes through time, fuses elements of African origin, such as Spanish and Aymara.
