About the tour

A neighborhood located on a hill that has privileged views of certain areas of the city, has a charm for its nineteenth and twentieth century houses, Brazilian typical restaurants, hand craft stores, art galleries and one of the old style of transportation in Rio, a yellow tram. We will walk in the main street enjoying the architecture, we will have a look in the stores and restaurants ending with one of the nice views of the area. Let's get to know one of the most beloved neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro! Note: The tour could be rescheduled due to weather conditions.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Rio de Janeiro with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Rio de Janeiro. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

The feed was poor - blurry and jumping around - I think the walking tours are much better

First part of tour was not too good as lots of noise from tram and commentary rather distorted. Stayed on and tour improved on return tram tour with less technical problems and clearer scenery .Nice to see how a caipirinha was made and finale seeing Danna dancing with a male colleague to the music from the solo female singer. Enjoyed the tram ride and would love to do so when in Rio.
