When the name "Salzburg" is mentioned, many people get shiny eyes for various reasons! Some think of W. A. Mozart and his wonderful music, some love the winding streets, burbling fountains and beautiful market squares of the old town. Hungry people dreamily think of Salzburger Nockerl and Mozartkugeln. For culture fans, the thought of the world-famous annual music festival makes their hearts beat faster. Many people also long for the crystal-clear lakes and mountains in the Salzburg region. And yes - for many, Salzburg also means: The Sound Of Music! There will be something for everyone on this walk and I am looking forward to our relaxed stroll through the "Rome of the North".
Claudia was born and raised in a city that is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. In Vienna you actually stumble upon a museum, palace, theatre or coffee house on almost every corner. Karl Kraus, a famous Austrian writer, once said:” The streets of Vienna are paved with culture, the streets of other cities with asphalt.” You can often see Claudia in these very streets of Vienna, mostly with guests from all over the world, showing them the most beautiful and interesting neighbourhoods of her hometown with knowledge, enthusiasm, esprit and- her cell phone ! Sometimes she wanders the streets alone to discover new things and prepare new exciting tours for her guests. She loves the idea of virtual guiding a lot, to connect with people from so many countries and she really enjoys sharing the stories and her love for her hometown with all virtual travellers who want to feel the real spirit of this magical city.
Claudia has been guiding since Mar 2007
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Salzburg with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 60 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Salzburg. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide’s hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

I really enjoyed the tour! It was very beautiful and l loved learning about the history and looking at the architecture. My absolute favorite part was getting to visit the cemetery where Mozart's sister was buried. The artwork of the "decorations" was very beautiful and I just find old cemeteries fascinating!

Claudia was charming and informative, but the videopicture did not match the narration on my mini iPad, taking the enjoyment out of the tour of Salzburg.
