This is the second experience in the Old Town/ Pelourinho, after visiting a first part of the our historical site, I would like to invite you to immerse in the Black History of Bahia and Brazil. Bahia is one of the top destinations in Brazil and in this second tour we will virtually meet just next to the Igreja São Francisco - the Gold Church and walk in some of the oldest streets of the first Capital of Brazil. Itinerary: Cruzeiro São Francisco, Rua Gregório de Mattos (olodum house) and Largo do Pelourinhos (location of the whipping pole during Slavery years) and one of the most beautiful views of the Old Town. Can’t wait to see you on line and share a bit of my hometown with you!!
My work is to make your days incredible in Bahia. I am Asian-Afro-Brazilian, born in Salvador in the 1970's and working as a tour guide since 2011, studied Law in Sao Paulo and Language Studies, but now I am 100% working as a tour guide. As an independent traveler, I understands the needs for a real and safe experience in my hometown. I love Brazil and I am blessed to live and work in Bahia. I try to work with tailor- made tours and make you feel home in Brazil, with the best tourist attractions but at the same time with the local experience. I will be happy to guide you in Portuguese, English or Spanish in Bahia. My tops tours tailor made are: Gastronomy Experience, Afro Heritage, Favela Tour, Reconcavo Baiano (01 hour from Salvador) and By night with PubCrawl
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Salvador Bahia with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Salvador Bahia. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

Very good, compact and clear overview over the main elements of African influences in Bahia, a perfect introduction tour. Thanks, Sayuri, for this sneak peak - will return for more black history tours!

I love Salvador and it was so good to re-live the memories of my trip there. Sayurikoshima is a wonderful guide, she is very warm and friendly and that's the great thing about being live as she walks around. "Oh say hello to my friend." And it feels like you're there amongst the people. Very illuminating aspects such as there is a lack of recognition of the black community in any place or street names. I certainly recommend Sayurikoshima as a guide.
