About the tour

Bahia is one of the most authentic places in Brazil, considered the most Afrikan City in Brazil and with a fantastic Old Town (UNESCO human heritage site). We are also very musical, Paul Simon has been here in the 1980’s to feel the beat of Samba Reggae and also Michael Jackson and Spike Lee in 1996, to release the videoclip “ They Don’t care about us”. In this first part of the walking hoje we will see the view of Elevador Lacerda, the birthplace of Brazil, as a colony of Portugal and view of the Second Biggest bay of the world. We will walk with the views of the Old Town and possible we will meet live music and also a beautiful “baiana” to take pictures and postcards. I recommend that you also book Salvador part 2, that we will see more of the Old Town and Largo do Pelourinho + talk more about Black History in Brazil. I am very proud to be Baiana and Let’s go to Bahia?

My work is to make your days incredible in Bahia. I am Asian-Afro-Brazilian, born in Salvador in the 1970's and working as a tour guide since 2011, studied Law in Sao Paulo and Language Studies, but now I am 100% working as a tour guide. As an independent traveler, I understands the needs for a real and safe experience in my hometown. I love Brazil and I am blessed to live and work in Bahia. I try to work with tailor- made tours and make you feel home in Brazil, with the best tourist attractions but at the same time with the local experience. I will be happy to guide you in Portuguese, English or Spanish in Bahia. My tops tours tailor made are: Gastronomy Experience, Afro Heritage, Favela Tour, Reconcavo Baiano (01 hour from Salvador) and By night with PubCrawl

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Salvador Bahia with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Salvador Bahia. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

I am so happy and lucky that I took this real live tour. This tour explores so much more than I expected before the tour. Sayuri will show Salvador with the history, art work, costumes, and food through the wonderful town of Bahia.
