About the tour

This is the fortress which was built in 1452 by the Ottoman sultan Mehmet the 2nd when he was planing to conquer the Constantinople city. The two fortresses were built on both side of the Bosporus to block the straight with a chain in order to stop the potential ships may come for the help to Constantinople. Let’s talk about how the Constantinople was conquered after thousands of years.

A climb toward the height of the fortress is rewarded with sparkling views of the waterways, from the city and to the eastern. Built in record time with command and determination. It has been standing at guard for centuries outstanding rising and falling empires. A fortress where civilization reinvented itself, by water, land, socially, culturally and spiritually.
