It is a jewel in the downtown of Rio de Janeiro, is a library and lusophone cultural institution. The intenal architecture is amazing with Neo-Manueliene style on the covers, wooden bookcases. The ceiling of the Reading Room has a beautiful chandelier and a skylight in iron structure.
