Romantic Latin American Classics - Live Rehearsal in Amsterdam

About the tour

One of Amsterdam's great strengths is that it is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures. What a great place then for Trio Galantes to be based. They are a Romantic Trio specializing in the big hits of Latin American music‘s golden age. Mark is a huge fan and friend of the group and they have agreed to let us join one of their rehearsals as they prepare for the coming season. The 3 galantes are: Alvaro from Chile, Humberto from Mexico and Augusto from Brazil. They are all classically trained musicians and sing in close harmony to the accompaniment of acoustic guitars. During some rehearsals they can spend 2 hours on one song but for us they will do one of their 'polishing off' rehearsals and treat us to a good selection of their repertoire. They perform a wide variety of original and fusion Latin styles, including Boleros, Chorinhos, Guarachas, Rancheras and Tangos. There will be time between songs to learn a bit about them all and to ask questions as well. If you want to take a peak at what they do then you can check them out on Youtube, just type in 'Trio Galantes Amsterdam'.

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Amsterdam with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Amsterdam. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to book and join, but you have the option to tip the guide during the tour.

Leaving a tip will help support the guides and allow us to offer tours in more places around the world. If you aren't able to leave a tip, then it would be great if you can share the tour with friends and family to spread the word.
