About the tour

SPECIAL ONE-OFF CONCERT ON A BOAT...The concert on Thursday 8 July at 5 pm Amsterdam time is on a small boat on the Amsterdam canals. The show is 20 minutes long and will begin at about 5 pm. One of Amsterdam's great strengths is that it is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures. What a great place then for Trio Galantes to be based. They are a Romantic Trio specializing in the big hits of Latin American music‘s golden age. Mark is a huge fan and friend of the group and they have agreed to let us join one of their rehearsals as they prepare for the coming season. The 3 galantes are: Alvaro from Chile, Humberto from Mexico and Augusto from Brazil. They are all classically trained musicians and sing in close harmony to the accompaniment of acoustic guitars. During some rehearsals they can spend 2 hours on one song but for us they will do one of their 'polishing off' rehearsals and treat us to a good selection of their repertoire. They perform a wide variety of original and fusion Latin styles, including Boleros, Chorinhos, Guarachas, Rancheras and Tangos. There will be time between songs to learn a bit about them all and to ask questions as well. If you want to take a peak at what they do then you can check them out on Youtube, just type in 'Trio Galantes Amsterdam'.

Mark - That Dam Guide

Mark has been sharing places and stories about Amsterdam, his adopted home, for 10 years now and he is still smitten by the place! He absolutely loves distilling chunks of history into bite-sized bits of fun. The vibrancy of the city takes his breath away, and he loves finding odd little details to share. Live-streaming tours are an exciting adventure as it is possible to open places and areas that are not accessible on in-person tours!

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Amsterdam with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.

The tour will last about 30 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Amsterdam. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

What a great idea, Classic Latin music in one of Amsterdam’s Canals, sung by El Trio Los Galantes. The group was fantastic and the song selection was perfect. It’d be great to hear them again. Thank you for bringing them to us, it was a treat!
