We will walk among the standing stones at the Ring of Brodgar, one of the most spectacular prehistoric sites in the British Isles. Travelling back in time to the 3rd millennium BC.
Lorna was born in Orkney on the Island of Westray and can trace her family living there as far back as possible. She loves sharing the beauty, history and culture of her islands. Lorna usually speaks in Orcadian dialect which comes from an old Norse language called Norn but don't worry, she will be chanting on tour. Chanting is the Orcadian word for speaking your best English.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Orkney with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Orkney. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide's hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

An enjoyable opportunity to see standing stones without being surrounded by tourists. Lorna was an excellent guide to the history and geography of this site. The positioning of standing stones by ancient man amazes me.

I really enjoyed Lorna's first tour. It was very relaxed, informative and we had the previlege to experience the Ring of Brodgar without any other people. I'm eagerly waiting to go exploring with Lorna again!

With the technical problems you truly did a remarkable tour and provided nice post cards. I learned more about the historical area from you and will research more from your inspiration.

A lovely relaxing walk in a place of beauty and tranquillity. Lorna gave us lots of information about this ancient site, and responded well to all the queries from interested Virtual Trippers. Well done, and thank you. Another place for my bucket list!
