About the tour

Queen Victoria, Empress of India, is found all over Melbourne. From the iconic Queen Victoria Market to Queen Victoria Hospital and the scores of streets, squares and plazas named for her. Then there's the state of Victoria itself of which Melbourne is the capital. There are also peaceful havens in the city of Melbourne dedicated to the former English ruler. Queen Victoria Gardens is one such sanctuary, with ornamental lakes, flower beds, pavilions and sculptures. Come for a stroll through the tranquil gardens in the heart of Melbourne.

Meet Susanna

Susanna

Susanna is an avid reader of historical detective novels, a radio producer, civil celebrant, over-worked grandmother and, for fun, she reconstructs Ancient Roman recipes. For over 30 years she taught adults, particularly women, in the technical aspects of radio broadcasting and film production, or how to get out there and just do it. She's also been a social worker, a consulting psychologist, stage actor and barmaid. Susanna is a proud descendant of 19th century convicts, republicans and revolutionaries and still wants to be a time-traveller.
