About the tour

The religious complex of Qorikancha in the ancient Inca capital of Cusco contained the Temple of the Sun. This was not only the most sacred site in the Inca religion but also considered the very centre of the Inca world. It was known as the Golden Enclosure (once decorated with gold) and was dedicated to the highest gods in the Inca cosmovision, in particular Inti (God of the Sun). We can tell its importance to the Incas because they constructed it very precisely using their method of cutting and shaping large rocks without the use of mortar or clay. Today it is still an important construction and museum in Cusco. Together we discover the parts that have survived and have been reconstructed after the Spanish invasion and the site's incredible historical significance.

Mike's knowledge is awesome and he is able to relate to us in such a way that even the smallest detail becomes fascinating. Also, I am convinced that what he says is truthful based on books researched and not based on the hearsay of other guides.
