Located in the east border of the city, where the desert meets the foothills of the Andes, we find this hidden gem of Lima, an impressive archaeological site dated back almost 1000 years ago, built by the Ichma society, and used by the Incas as one of the administrative centers located in the valley of Rimac river. If you love archaeology, and history is your passion come on this tour and discover this site with me.
Vanessa is a native from Lima, Perú. An archaeologist wanna-be and momma to three, she is always on a never ending search for the best ceviche in town! Vanessa is an official tour guide and has been an ambassador of her city since 2006 with such a passion for history that she married an archeologist. After spending almost 14 years solely in the travel and tourism space, she decided to reinvent the tour guide wheel and go “virtual” with you! While Lima can sometimes be misunderstood by many for its chaos and busyness, it woos you with its incredible cuisine, warm people and stunning archaeological sites. In her tours, you might catch a spectacular sunset in the ocean while seeing surfers waiting for the last waves before going home, spot an ancient archaeological site, or explore amazing Peruvian dishes at some of the city’s popular restaurants. “My biggest interest lies in being an interpreter of my culture and an ambassador of my country to others visiting Peru. I learned many years ago that travelers see the country they visit through the eyes of their tour guide, and to me, that is a powerful reason to give my 100% each time and to love my job,” she says passionately. Join Vanessa on a tour as she takes you to her favorite places in Lima. You won't find a more passionate and enthusiastic guide.

Get ready for something special. We're travelling to Lima with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you'll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Lima. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide's hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

How wonderful it was to have a private tour through Puruchuco. Thank you Vanessa for highlighting the variations of architecture between the Ica and Inca civilisations - fascinating walk through history.

I thought Vanessa came over very well, enthusiastic and friendly and she clearly.has a good local knowledge. I thought the object of the tour was rather bland visually and it would have been good to have history of people that lived there but I assume no records exist. This would have made the tour so much better.

Vanessa was really easy to listen to and had so much information to give. Even when the door to the site was locked she stayed calm and laughing till the guard could come and let her in. I would watch her again. Thank you Vanessa. X
