Hopefully this year in Korcula one of the most beautiful processions will be held for Corpus Christi Day. The participants will be all the Brotherhoods of Korcula that will be led by the children that had the first communion this year . In the 14th century the custom developed of carrying the Blessed Sacrament in a splendid procession through the town after the Mass on Corpus Christi Day. This was encouraged by the popes, some of whom granted special indulgences to all participants. Andrea will be scheduling this tour so you can see the oldest traditions in town , the brotherhoods and she will be walking through town waiting for the procession to start after Mass. It will be starting from St.Marc's Cathedral and will go all around the old town. The members of all three Brotherhoods should be carrying processional candles, crucifixes and lamps , and it will be all happening around sunset so the ambience should be unique . Andrea will be on the best spots so that you can enjoy and make beautiful postards of this happening.

A beautiful, different kind of tour. I'm thankful to Andrea for doing this. Being a Catholic, I truly appreciate and love everything. Such a joy seeing Andrea knowing everyone ( even the cats and dog) and being greeted by everyone, too.
