Prambanan is a 9th century Hindu Temple complex outside of the city of Yogyakarta. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest in Indonesia and consists of 240 temples in total! Join me as your guide and explore part of the complex, see the incredible detail that still remains on the temple facades, and learn about the ancient culture that inspired the incredible designs.
Gagat loves Indonesian culture and has a great passion of showing his beautiful people and country. He will be more than happy to share some secrets of the places of interest one might never hear before, making your trip as interesting as possible. Having studied law and great attention to the current issues, he enjoys discussion with various topics over coffee in the afternoon, while also having a great passion in trains and planes. Gagat enjoys listening to almost all music genres and sometimes trying to sing at almost the right tune... no worries, he will only be guiding and not singing :)"
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Yogyakarta with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 40 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Yogyakarta. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.
Reserve your spot by selecting a time to book. Once done, you’ll be able to see your reservations on your Trips page and we’ll send you an email confirmation with a link to join the tour.

I would have liked a little more about the history of who built, why and how. But had great information about the gods and Hindu religion. Very happy guide and easy to understand. Enjoyed the tour after visiting 28 years ago - nothing has changed since that time.
