The Centre national d'art et de culture Georges-Pompidou (CNAC) - commonly known as the "Pompidou Centre", or more familiarly as "Beaubourg" - is an original cultural institution entirely dedicated to modern and contemporary creation; We will discover the building from the inside, see part of its collection, but also discover it from the outside and try to understand why it was so criticized. Jean d'Ormesson even wrote: "It is atrocious. It looks like a factory, an ocean liner, a refinery. A sort of monstrous and multicoloured skinned man, with his guts in the air".
Patrick isn't one to shy away from travel and adventure. "I was lucky enough to travel the world with my job, discover different cultures, and meet incredible people!" he says, after having explored multiple cities across Europe and Asia. On his tours, you may catch more than a surprise or two about Paris. "In fact, it is an everyday experience. I'm a native Parisian, but every day, I continue to discover new things, new secrets about Paris. It's a never-ending story," he laughs. It was his love for Paris that led him to become a guide. "I'm a father and a teacher, and I realized that my passion was to share my knowledge, so I decided to be a guide about one of my passion: Paris!" Patrick chips in. "I enjoy sharing the love and passion I have for my own city, Paris. Its monuments, its history, its gastronomy, its culture, and all of its little secrets. I can't wait to share all of these with you!" "At the end of my tour I always give a virtual bise - two in fact being a good Parisian!" he laughs.

Excellent experience! I passed on the Pompidou Centre when I was in Paris. While I didn’t particularly like the art periods in the museum, getting to visit any art museum is a delight! Having Patrick’s son share in the tour was fun too!

A remarkable tour. Paris does not only consist of Haussmann' buildings but it also has emblematic modern buildings that need to be shown. The modern paintings in the Centre Georges Pompidou are magnificent too and a joy to see. Antoine's contribution was amazing too as well as the sharing of his knowledge with us. Merci beaucoup a tous les deux, pere et fils. J' espere que Antoine participe a toutes les tournees

Thank you for the wonderful tour. It was a pleasure meeting your son Antoine and he did a great job on his first tour. It was so nice to see a young man so enthusiastic about art and architecture and wanting to share his knowledge.

Interesting tour of The Centre National of the Art and Culture Georges Pompidou. We could see the building from outside and inside, and also enjoyed part of its collection of modern and contemporary art. Patrick was very informative about the building and explained us why it was criticized. Then, he introduced his son Antoine who co-conducted the narration about the art collection. Thank you very much, Patrick and Antoine for the tour! I highly recommend this tour, and I would like to have a Part 2 to enjoy more of the interesting artwork.
