About the tour

Don't miss your chance to visit a live and authentic local market while the technology is speeding up and the markets turns to be online. Persian Gulf local markets have a great business hub during a history. From an ancient time, the markets in this area had been connecting markets of east and west. The traders would bring spices, clothes, silk and whatever they could find in India, china, and other East Asian countries' markets and trade it with western products. Beside foreign traders locals were busy with their own small markets of fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts. Women were not exceptional in this trading corners of Persian Gulf. In this tour we are going to visit Bandar Abbas Local Market, where men still shout to advertise the fish they catch from the Gulf, women sell the vegetables and fruits of their small farms, handmade golden embroidered clothes, snacks and flowers. We are going to wander in narrow streets of the markets which makes it the most famous in the country. There is also an Indian Temple next to the market.

Thank you Leila, that was a very interesting and colourful tour. You explain everything so clearly, it's a joy to listen to you. You've opened my eyes to a county and a people that I knew nothing about (only what we hear in the news). Thank you so much!
