Ontdek deze fascinerende hoofdstad van Umbrie, het Groene Hart van Italie. Een wandeling langs de Etruskische muren, de schitterende Fontein en adembenemende Panorama's. Discover this fascinating Capital of Umbria, the Green Heart of Italy. A walk along the Etruscan Walls, the magnificent Fountain and breathtaking Views.
Patrizia’s our archaeologist-turned-tour guide, who’s had so much fun guiding visitors around the green heart of Italy. Perugia's always ready to throw a surprise. Although the city's not very famous, it doesn't shy away from entertaining its visitors with its stories and breathtaking views. "Perugia during the Umbria Jazz festival is magical! Every day at noon, a New Orleans band marches up and down the main street to get people to dance and follow them to the different free concert venues. Lovely music, and magical atmosphere through the night!" she says. On her tours, you might catch a smatter of different languages - she's a polyglot who speaks 5 languages. "A funny incident was that on a very busy day, I was halfway through my tour in Perugia before it hit me that I was doing it in the wrong language and nobody had dared to interrupt me!" she laughs. “I always try to convey some typical Italian word or proverb ready to be used immediately. Normally by the end of the tour, everyone remembers it and who knows...continues to use it at home!” Her goal as a professional guide is still to surprise the visitors. She almost stumbled into the exciting space of guiding visitors around her city. When she was working as an archaeologist on excavation sites and museums, she enjoyed showing Perugia's beautiful landscape. "And then I got the chance to accompany groups throughout Europe, and decided being a guide was the profession where I could combine my different interests: history, languages and meeting people from all over the world," she quips. As Marcel Proust said: you don't always have to travel to new destinations but you have to look at them with new eyes.

How novel to follow a tour in Dutch, I am originally from England but living in Belgium since 1973, so I speak Flemish/Dutch. Excellent guide and an interesting tour. I hope there will be more in Dutch, I have a friend who speaks only Dutch, and so wants to do a tour, but I saw this too late to tell her about it. Most enjoyable

Hello! This tour was amazing! I speak French, German, and English and know a little Dutch. Super fun seeing Perugia in Dutch, and the more I tour, the more I want to visit. Patrizia is fantastic!! Thank you! :)

This was an excellent tour. A walk around a beautiful town, packed with history, AND a chance to practice my Dutch! Patrizia spoke slowly enough and clearly enough for a beginner to understand a good amount! I do hope that at some point a tour of the chocolate festival will be arranged!
