Every June Odessa hosts an international music festival Odessa Classics and becomes “Salzburg of Eastern Europe”. On this one-time live-stream tour we’ll see how the legendary Potemkin Staircase turns into the city’s largest open-air concert venue and soak in the ambiance of Odessa’s historic quarter after dark. Odessa at night becomes a vibrant city with beautifully illuminated heritage buildings and sidewalks full of street performers. Fancy seeing the city’s iconic sight – the National Opera and Ballet theater after the darkness hits? Interested in taking a stroll along beautiful Primorsky boulevard, which becomes a place of an “evening promenade” for lots of locals and city guests alike? We’ll walk along the broad cobbled streets of the old town soaking in the city at night and talking about bohemians connected to Odessa. We’ll follow in the footsteps of Chekhov, Pushkin and Tchaikovsky, just to name a few and talk about their time in Odessa. We’ll finish this live-stream tour at the legendary Potemkin Staircase and see it turn into the largest in the city open-air concert venue as the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine performs there. This is a one-time event! Not to miss if you are curious to see Odessa by night and the concert on the city’s iconic sight – the Potemkin Steps.
Olga's journey to guiding and establishing Odessa Walks started in 1998 when she left her home country and went to California to attend a business school. What made her move across the ocean back then? First off, interest to see the world and desire to explore her career options. And while studies were certainly important, traveling was her real passion. After obtaining an MBA degree she has worked in California, London and Moscow. Finally, in 2011 she made a decision to return to Odessa, her anchor city. Why? To build something of her own, based on what she loves most: meeting people, this amazing city and its rich heritage. As a result, Odessa Walks Ltd. came to live in 2011. Since then she's been managing the business and providing in-person tours. Since the fall of 2020 she's been creating online Odessa experiences.

Brilliant tour. Odessa is a cosmopolitan city with a glorious multicultural past. Olga is an excellent guide, very articulate in english and extremely knowledgeable of her city. It was an excellent idea to present a live concert combined with the wonderful images of Odessa's beautiful facades lit in the evening. Highly recommended to watch if this tour is provided again in the future. Thank you Olga for the spectacle
