About the tour

We start our virtual tour at the old Powder Gate and suddenly, we find ourselves in another century. The sidewalks are paved with cobblestones and winding alleys illuminated by gas lamps. The path we follow is the iconic Royal Way that Czech kings rode for centuries on their way to be crowned at Prague Castle. Along the way, we admire the houses of rich merchants and a medieval square that was once at the crossroads of European trade routes. We unleash our imagination and let the iconic Astronomical Clock take us 600 years back. Explore with your guide one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and embark on an exciting journey through the medieval Old Town of Prague, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Meet your local guide

Nikola

Nikola is native Czech, tour guide for 15 years, a mom of very lively 8-year old twins & a foodie. She loves social media and photography, so you'll love the angles she'll show you on her virtual tours. Nikola has a degree in art history and a license both for Prague and the Jewish Quarter so her credentials are rock solid. Ask her if you need to find out where are the best views of the city, which restaurant to go and what to order there, or where to buy the most authentic local souvenirs. All her tours are really interactive, so by the end, her guests feel they were hanging out with a friend. She adores Prague - all the small alleys and lanes and above all she is fascinated by Prague's history and loves sharing stories from it with her clients - her job is her hobby, which is the best!

Nikola has been guiding since Jul 2005

What to expect

Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Prague with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing guide.

The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your guide directly from Prague. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!

While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your guide and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.

Why are they tip-supported?

We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.

The majority of your tip goes directly to support the guide’s hard work, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Such a beautiful city - the tour was so well done; the quality of the images (was it the new camera?) were fantastic - so glad I booked this tour - looking forward to seeing more of Prague with Nikola who did such an excellent presentation!

Nikola was wonderful, articulate, interesting and took us to see some of the most beautiful architecture in the world. I'm not sure if anyone else experienced it, but there was something a bit off with the connection, though. It didn't play smooth. It was like a filmstrip with every other image missing. The poor connection made it difficult for me to watch, but Nikola made it interesting enough for me to continue. Throughout the tour, I tried opening it on Safari, Firefox and Chrome, and all three were exactly the same. I'm in Chicago with high speed internet, and live feed usually plays smooth. Just thought I'd mention it, in case there's something that can be done. Otherwise, it was an amazing tour, and I may just have to go again!
