Bucharest's biggest market is one of the few markets in town which have resisted modernization. Even though we have built a closed area, according to modern rules, the open traditional market of Obor, where farmers come to sell their fruit and vegetables, can still be seen. It is a symphony of freshness and of colours, open every day. Beside our farmers, there are also people selling imported fruit. Nice are the small pubs where you can order freshly grilled sausages, among others the "mici", or "mititei", a very tasty Romanian variant of sausages, without the cylindrical skin. Beer is generally drunk with the sausages. A visit to the Obor market is a wonderful experience for everyone who is interested to see a traditional market at the gates of the Orient, as Romania was called, I should say between Orient and Occident.
I feel so lucky to be able to be part of Heygo platform, especially during these times. It has been a great opportunity to do again what I love most, which is guiding, and interact with great people from all over the world. I have always been very much attracted by all the WW1 & WW2 documentaries on History Channel and still am nowadays. Having the opportunity to share the history, the still living traditions and the beauty of my country to travelers from all over the world is like a dream come true.
Get ready for something special. We’re travelling to Bucharest with no passport, no plane ticket and no luggage. And yet you’ll experience all the sights, sounds and stories with just your laptop, favorite snack and an amazing content creator.
The tour will last about 45 mins and will be live-streamed by your content creator directly from Bucharest. Forget about slideshows or pre-recorded videos, this is a live broadcast and anything can happen!
While on the tour you’ll be able to see a full screen video of your content creator and their surroundings, interact with them and other travellers through the live chat, see where you are in the world on a map and show your appreciation with a tip.
We are running these tours on a tip-supported basis to make them as accessible as possible. They are free to join, but you have the option to leave a tip during the tour.
The majority of your tip goes directly to support the channel, while the rest helps Heygo continue to build a place that brings the world closer together.

Thank you Mihai for the lovely tour. He very passionately took around the market and shared various stories. He walked all way to city hall to show the marriage ceremony which was indeed a beautiful view of the gathering to see being inside home for so long now.
