About the tour

These two neighboring parks are both steeped in Chicago history as well as serve as the site for countless music and cultural festivals. We’ll rendezvous at the gorgeous Buckingham Fountain, nestled in the heart of Grant Park between Chicago’s lakefront and the famed Michigan Avenue. From there, we’ll traipse north, bound for the resplendent Pritzker Music Pavilion and Bandshell. On the way we’ll see and discuss such iconic landmarks as the Lincoln Head of State monument, The Art Institute of Chicago and, of course, Cloud Gate. Or as locals lovingly refer to it: The Bean.

Meet your local guide

Matt and Chris

A native Midwesterner, Matt has called Chicago home for the last 10 years. Whether it’s great restaurants, terrific bars, bustling festivals, or relaxing green space and parks, he never tires of the abundant choices the Windy City has to offer. Chris was born in Hawaii, split most of his adult life between New York and Los Angeles, but was drawn to Chicago 5 years ago. Craving a safe and diverse place to raise his daughter that still felt like a big city, Chicago was the perfect place to land. Both actors, Matt and Chris met performing at Chicago's famed Goodman Theatre and formed a fast friendship. They look forward to sharing their entertaining take on the deep history, vibrant culture and stunning landmarks of America's Second City.
